Once upon a time in the great nation of England and during a footballing season not so long ago, there happened to exist a really strong team by the name Chelsea football club.
This team had unmatched footballing prowess during that season that out of 38 matches they played in the English Premier League, they lost only 3. Such a feat has been bettered by only a few in times past. The team was made of gallant knights, of which their leader Sir John, of house Terry played every single game and every single minute of the season. They went ahead to ahead to win the League and yet another trophy under under the watchful eyes of their grandmaster who came back to them after sevearal years of sojourn in far off lands where he conquered territories and several teams, Lord José, of house Mourinho, the 1st of his name better known as "The Special one" (Shivers).

Fast forward to a few moons late, same grandmaster, same league, same team of gallant footballing knights that had sworn to uphold the name and pride of Stamford Bridge, home to Chelsea football club (albeit a few changes especially with the custodian of their goalpost pledging allegiance to his club's sworn foes, Arsenal FC that have their home up north of the city of London, the red side of the great divide), same home, same owner, same air, same loyal subjects or more, same fat rewards to these galant knights, they seem to have fallen of their horses. The once great Stamford Bridge has become a laughing stock for their enemies foreign and domestic. The much lesser teams have taken spoils and points from the grasp of this once great footballing team. They are currently number 16 out of 20 on the list of battling armies in the league. Their loyal subjects are bewildered. Friends and foes alike have been asking the same question,
"what went wrong?"
There are several reasons that are quite obvious. One of which is the form of these knights. The one with the worst form goes by the name Sir Branislav of house Ivanovic from Serbia.

| Sir Branislav of the house Ivanovic describing Chelsea's league position |
During battle, he usually defends the fort from the rights side of the battle ground and pushes attack when the highly contested round leather is the possession of his team. He was one of the best at this but all of sudden, he can't defend nor attack. Players breeze pass him like he is non existent. His footballing skills made him outstanding eons ago but now the only outstanding thing about him is his disproportionate bum.
The next is Sir Eden of the great footballing house of Hazard.
He used to be the Lord of "take ons" and "chances created". He still might be but none of those recently made up stats have been converted to what the round leather game is all about, goals and points. Opposition armies have learnt to make him less threatening and not getting mesmerized by his silly twists and turns anymore. He was once compared by the grandmaster to the gods of soccer by the names of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo (Scoofs a.k.a laughs hysterically)
Another ailing and falling knight is Sir Cesc Fabregas (Colloquial called Fabrepass). This knight was known for his breaking down the opposition army's defense with incredible passes. He was so good at this that no one actually noticed how poor he was at stopping the enemies from proceeding to his own part of the battlefield. That has changed this season as opposition armies have nullified his threat and don't see him as a hindrance when going forward.
It's not all gloomy at this moment because a ray of hope has emerged in the like of Sir Willian. One of the most underrated knights of Stamford Brdge. Over the past few weeks, he has done a lot more than has been expected of hum and loyal subjects are clamo that he keeps it up.
One can decide to blame all these knights but one must still take certain things into consideration. A lot of them played almost all the games last season. They are not machines, they must be really fatigued. The time they would have used to rest and recover were spent wandering far off lands to entertain legions of loyal subjects who am sure would want them to be back at their best. Some are already past their prime. Too old for the quick pace of the fresher and younger soldiers.
Some have clamored for the head of the grandmaster saying he deserves the axe. I am of the opinion that he should be left alone and see how he turns this around. He is a well versed one and I am quite confident he alone can steer this sinking ship right. Had the cabal governing the Chelsea empire dipped deep into the coffers and brought in the well needed reinforcement when he asked them just like he did before the commencement of the season past, I am quite sure the story would have been a less bleak one. Everyone believes they will bounce back, the question now is "how soon?"
